The existing asset management systems are used both as information systems and as a basis for decision-making in maintenance management. The transportation infrastructure is mostly visualized in a 2D GIS since currently the asset management systems are not based on 3D geometry. Initial pilot projects have however clearly shown that BIM-based asset management has great potential benefits. This is not limited to intuitive interactions during data queries, but also contributes to visual and technical understanding by linking the individual components of the transport infrastructure and related comprehensive handover documentation after the commission of a new construction or a maintenance measure. In addition, previous discontinuity in the data processing between construction and maintenance management can be eliminated. In this way a very detailed database is furnished, which can be used over the lifetime of the infrastructure components. The asset management systems, for their part, contain well-structured data with adequate semantics and ontology, which lend themselves as a basis for this linkage. Linking this data with the BIM models from the construction phase increases the benefit of already existing information systems and enables intuitive asset management. This paper shows how this linkage can be done over the whole life cycle. The benefit of asset management systems depends very much on the currentness of the data and this means that the BIM model should also be in-sync with the current status of the transport infrastructure. The updating of data in asset management systems is not only carried out after construction measures, but also on the basis of the findings recorded in the course structural inspections or pavement condition survey. In this paper, to update the data in the asset management databases and the BIM model, the ICDD containers are proposed. Thereby, the existing asset management systems and related processes will be only slightly modified.

Aktuelle Entwicklungen bei BIM.Hamburg
Current developments at BIM.Hamburg
K. Gersberg, Bremen
The implementation of BIM in the City of Hamburg within all public organizations involved in construction requires far-reaching changes in processes, adjustments to guidelines, the establishment of new technologies, and last but not least, a cultural shift in the way of working. In 2018, the virtual organization BIM.Hamburg was established to jointly shape this change process across organizations and to ensure consistent and reliable guidelines within Hamburg. Since then, cross-functional project teams have been working to develop standards as operational aids and to promote knowledge exchange. These developed operational standards are now being used in over 30 BIM projects in building and infrastructure construction. The State Agency of Surveying and Geoinformation Hamburg (Landesbetrieb Geoinformation und Vermessung, LGV) actively supports the standardization projects of BIM.Hamburg. As a municipal service provider, the LGV is testing the developed standards in numerous constructions projects, for example regarding the creation of As-Built Models or for difference analysis between planning and execution during construction. The article discusses the current developments at BIM.Hamburg, presents the latest results from the standardization projects, and shows how the LGV's project work goes hand in hand with the development of the BIM.Hamburg standards.

Nachhaltige Straßenerhaltung durch Erneuerung von Oberflächentexturen
Sustainable road maintenance by renewing of surface textures
Dipl.-Ing. T. Alte-Teigeler, Bietigheim
One of the most important characteristics of traffic pavements from the user's point of view is the surface condition. Among other things, it influences skid resistance, noise emissions, driving comfort, rolling resistance and thus fuel consumption and tyre wear. In the course of the useful life of a traffic area, the surface properties change as a result of a wide variety of influences such as weather and traffic load. In order to continue to comply with the limit values of the individual properties, maintenance measures become necessary. In terms of sustainability, it would be advantageous for such measures if only the surface could be treated instead of having to renew the road body on a larger scale. There are a number of technologies that can be used to conserve resources while at the same time providing an optimal traffic surface for road users. In this context, it is also important to keep an eye on the availability of the road by using fast maintenance methods during low-traffic periods in order to take into account often forgotten factors such as economic costs due to congestion.

TIM-GeO: Informationsmanagement von Geodaten
TIM-GeO: Technical Information Management of Spatial Data
Dipl.-Ing. Nikolaus Kemper, Berlin
The article describes the organisational and technical realisation of the implementation of the TIM-GeO platform (Technical Information Management with Geo and Object Referencing), the importance of a centralised spatial data infrastructure, the status of implementation of various processes as well as the challenge of the Autobahn GmbH in consolidating data, data models and software due to the heterogeneous initial situations in the federal states. Since 01.01.2021, the Autobahn GmbH has taken over the administration of the German federal motorway network (approx. 13,000 km). This task was previously assigned to the federal states. The Autobahn GmbH's scope of responsibilities includes engineering surveying, road information bank, spatial information systems and digital transformation processes, all of which are organisationally combined in one department. As a key asset TIM-GeO is used as a platform on which spatial information is combined, processed and made available for the various applications and user groups. As a first implementation stage, a WebGIS application "GIS-Frontend" with the crucial data sets such as road network, parking spaces, site locations and administrative boundaries were made available via a cloud-based environment (Software/Platform as a Service). In addition, service interfaces to project management systems, building/construction databases as well as connections to land ownership registry applications were established. The platform is furthermore used to cover the need for additional applications and process flows that have emerged after the initial analysis and documentation of the business processes of Autobahn GmbH were finished. As a result, functionalities and technical requirements for various use cases, e.g. for road condition detection and assessment, maintenance services e.g. tree inspection or cable maintenance (pipeline/power line cadastre) are realised on the platform. The source datasets are the foundation of all applications. Autobahn GmbH in large parts takes over these data sets from the road construction administrations of the federal states. Since the initial situation of these datasets are very heterogeneous and they originate from different systems, an elaborate migration and consolidation must be implemented. For future steps, these data modelling processes are to be developed further e.g. by using standardised object catalogues that span the entire life cycle of an object and to ensure furthermore the applications of the BIM method.
